Today I have a quick and easy card created with the Natural Silhouettes Stamp Set included in the new Nature's Touch card kit from Gina K. Designs. This kit is currently sold out but will be back in stock soon!! If you are interested in purchasing this card kit, click HERE then click on the "notify me" button to be notified when the kit is back in stock. I will also be using the brand new Master Layouts 1 Die Set, which are sold out as well. These dies should be back in stock very soon, you can click HERE then click on the "notify me" button to be notified when they are back in stock. For today's card, I will be doing some ink blending over a simple mask using inks from Gina K. Designs. This card comes together quickly and can be used for any occasion by changing the greeting. Let's get started!!

I will be doing all of my work today on my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat.

To start, I take the smaller rectangle die from the Master Layouts 1 Die Set and cut out of White Cardstock, running them through my Big Shot Die Cut Machine. Next, I take a die from my Infinity Circles Die Set and cut out of Masking Magic masking paper, running them through my Big Shot. I then remove the release paper and adhere the circle die cut towards the top center of my panel. This will be my moon.

Using my Blender Brushes, I blend Blue Denim Ink around the circle mask and edges of the panel, leaving a highlighted area below the circle mask towards the bottom of the panel. This will create a glow from the moon.

Next, I take In The Navy Ink and blend around the edges of the panel, fading into the previous color a bit being careful not to overpower the previous color. Again, I leave a highlighted area below the circle mask going towards the bottom of the panel. After I am satisfied with the ink blending, I remove the mask. Using the remaining ink on the brush, I very lightly blend onto my moon being careful not to apply ink onto all of it. I want to create some shadows on the moon and still leave some white areas showing through.

I now place the blended panel into my MISTI Stamp Positioner and stamp an image from the Natural Silhouettes Stamp Set using Black Onyx Ink. I then choose a greeting from the same set and stamp it just above and off center.

Taking the bigger rectangle die from the Master Layouts 1 Die Set I cut out of Black Onyx Cardstock, running them through my Big Shot. Using Terrific Tape, I adhere my blended panel onto the black panel then onto a White Cardstock card base and this completes my card.

This wraps up a full week of cards that can be made using the new Gina K. Designs card kit. I can see why this kit sold out so fast, the three stamp sets included are so versatile for so many different kinds of cards. There are also dies included in the kit that I have to yet use. Gina really put together a fantastic kit with great designs!

I will be using kraft cardstock as well as black cardstock. This is a fun technique to use on any color of cardstock. I wanted to show the look on a light colored cardstock vs a dark color. The key to using any color of cardstock is to first lay down white pigment ink follo

Embossing With Stencils

Hello, welcome to my blog! Today's card project focuses on heat embossing with stencils. Stencils are great for ink blending and are economical. Did you know you can also heat emboss with your stencils? I am showing an example of white heat embossing, but you could also ink blend your stencil then heat emboss with clear embossing powder, if you don't mind getting your embossing pad dirty. Some people have a clean embossing pad dedicated for embossing only, and another embossing pad that they use for different techniques that may get the pad dirty. Let's get started!! To start, I cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white Neenah cardstock panel using my Tim Holtz Guillotine paper trimmer. I add Gina K. Designs Adhesive Dot Runner  to the corners on the back side of my white card panel to temporarily hold it down onto my Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat . Next, I prep my panel with my Anti Static powder bag. I then place my Gina K. Designs Water Droplets stencil
