Exotic Tulips Watercolored W/Oxide Inks

Hello, welcome to my blog!!  I want to start out by thanking everyone for the support and nice comments you all leave for me. I truly appreciate the support of this blog!! I enjoy card making and bringing my creations to you, this wouldn't be possible without your support, so again, thank you!! Today I have simple watercolored card using the Exotic Tulips stamp set from Altenew. This is a layering stamp set, however, I will be using only the outline images for today's card. For my watercoloring I will be using Distress Oxide Inks. My watercoloring method is very simple and uses only two colors of ink, a light color to create a base and a dark color to add shading and depth. Even though I use only two colors I am able to achieve the look of more colors by adding layers. I am also able to create the look of more shades by diluting the colors with more water or using the colors full strength. To create a subtle background for my image I will use a background stamp called You Are.
