Mandala Maker W/Die Cut

Hello, welcome to my blog!!

I want to start out by thanking everyone for the support and nice comments you all leave for me. I truly appreciate the support of this blog!! I enjoy card making and bringing my creations to you, this wouldn't be possible without your support, so again, thank you!!

Today I have a fun card for you using the Mandala Maker stamp set! I found a die set from Scrapbookcom that works perfectly with this stamp set and has multiple sizes of dies to choose from! ***Right now you can get this Die Set at less than half price!!*** I have always loved the Wreath Builder stamp sets from Gina K. Designs and when I found this die set I knew I wanted to try out the Mandala Maker stamp set with it. The Mandala Maker stamp set has so many different beautiful stamps, the combinations are endless in what you can create!! Though the flower shaped die is from Scrapbookcom, all stamps, inks, cardstock and the other dies I use are from Gina K. Designs. Let's get started!!

I will be doing all of my work today on my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat.

To start, I place the 4" square template from the Wreath Builder Template Set into the corner of my MISTI Stamp Positioner and secure it down using Purple Tape. I then take the second biggest die from the Nested Spring Flowers Die Set and cut out of White Cardstock, running them through my Big Shot Die Cut Machine. Next, I cut a 4" x 4" square out of White Cardstock using my Tim Holtz Guillotine Paper Trimmer. I then add some Adhesive Dot Runner to the back of my die cut, center over my square panel and adhere down onto it. *I am using the square panel to fit into my wreath builder as a guide to hold my die cut. The square panel that fits into the wreath builder would normally be stamped on, however, I want to stamp on my die cut so using the square panel will ensure I get even stamping with each turn on my die cut.

I now place my die cut into the Wreath Builder Template fitting the square panel into place. I start my stamping with my first image from the Mandala Maker Stamp Set and place it at the end of one of the petals. I then pick up the stamp with the door of my MISTI, ink it up with Black Onyx Ink and stamp it onto the petal of my die cut. Next, I pick up and rotate the square panel one turn and fit it back into the Template, ink up the image and stamp it onto the next petal. I pick up the square panel, rotate it another turn and repeat the process until all petals are stamped.

I move onto my next image from the Mandala Maker Stamp Set and line it up where I want to stamp it and pick it up with the door of my MISTI. This time I ink up my image using Blue Lagoon Ink and stamp it onto my die cut. I then rotate the square panel one turn and fit it back into the Template and repeat the process until all petals are stamped.

I now arrange and line up my next stamp from the Mandala Maker Stamp Set in between my first image then pick it up with the door of my MISTI. I ink this image up using Wild Lilac Ink and stamp it onto my die cut. I then rotate the square panel one turn and fit it back into the Template and repeat the process until I reach my first image.

Next, I choose another image from the Mandala Maker Stamp Set and I arrange and line it up then pick it up with the door of my MISTI. I ink this image up using Black Onyx Ink and stamp it onto my die cut. I then rotate the square panel one turn and fit it back into the Template and repeat the process until I reach my first image.

For my final image I arrange and line it up then pick up the stamp with the door of my MISTI. I ink this image up using Blue Lagoon Ink and stamp it onto my die cut. Again, I rotate the square panel one turn and fit it back into the Template and repeat my stamping until I reach the end. Now that my stamping is complete I carefully remove my die cut from the square panel. I am so amazed at the results every time I use these wreath builder stamp sets!!

Using the Master Layouts 2 Die Set I take the biggest stitched rectangle die and cut out of Wild Lilac Cardstock, running them through my Big Shot. I then place my Sunshine Stencil over the top of my panel and adhere it using Purple Tape. Using my Blending Brush I blend Wild Lilac Ink over my stencil onto the panel then remove the stencil.

Using the layering die from the Master Layouts 2 Die Set I cut out of Black Cardstock, running them through my Big Shot. I then adhere my stenciled panel onto the black panel using Terrific Tape.

Next, I place a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of White Cardstock into my Scor Buddy and score it at 4 1/4" creating a side folding card base. I then adhere my panels onto the card base using Terrific Tape. To adhere my stamped die cut, I add Foam Tape to the back then mount it onto my card front. *If I were to mail this card I would either trim off the overhanging petals so it fits into an A2 envelope or I would use a larger envelope.

For my sentiment I place a piece of White Cardstock into my MISTI and stamp the image from the Better Together Stamp Set using Blue Lagoon Ink. I then take the smaller stitched circle die from the Master Layouts 3 Die Set and center it over my sentiment then secure down using Purple Tape. I then run them through my Big Shot.

Using the layering die from the Master Layouts 3 Die Set I cut out of Black Cardstock, running them through my Big Shot. I then use Liquid Glue to adhere the two die cuts together. I add Foam Tape to the back of the sentiment and mount onto the center of my stamped die cut.

Using my Jewel Picker, I add a few Dazzling Diamond Rhinestones with Liquid Glue and this completes my card.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. I was thrilled with the way this die cut worked so well with the Mandala Maker stamp set!! I had my eye on this die set for quite a while and all I could think about was using it with Gina's wreath builder! I'm sure there are many other uses for this die set but all I see are beautiful Mandala creations, ha!! The Mandala Maker stamp set is filled with so many different sized pieces and designs that there are literally hundreds of different combinations to create!! With Gina's beautiful colored dye inks, the color combinations are endless!

I will be using kraft cardstock as well as black cardstock. This is a fun technique to use on any color of cardstock. I wanted to show the look on a light colored cardstock vs a dark color. The key to using any color of cardstock is to first lay down white pigment ink follo

3D Peony Bundle Embossing Folder W/Oxide Inks

Hello, welcome to my blog!!  I want to start out by thanking everyone for the support and nice comments you all leave for me. I truly appreciate the support of this blog!! I enjoy card making and bringing my creations to you, this wouldn't be possible without your support, so again, thank you!! I'm back!!! For those of you that don't know, I took a couple of weeks off to spend some time with my brand new grand babies!! We were blessed with two more grandsons (who are cousins, their dads are brothers!) that were born only two days apart! We now have three grandsons and one granddaughter and feel so blessed!! Today I am using Distress Oxide inks to watercolor a 3D embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp. I was blown away by the detail of this embossing folder and knew right away that I wanted to watercolor something soft. Having all of these raised areas to color made watercoloring so simple and really took little effort. With all of the dimension of the 3D effect it is easy
