God Is So Good!

Hello, welcome to my blog!!

I want to start out by thanking everyone for the support and nice comments you all leave for me. I truly appreciate the support of this blog!! I enjoy card making and bringing my creations to you, this wouldn't be possible without your support, so again, thank you!!!

Today, I will be using the brand new Nature't Touch Kit from Gina K. Designs. I will be doing some ink blending using a stencil and stamping a silhouette image from one of the stamp sets included in the kit called Hands Of Love. This kit is currently sold out, BUT Gina is restocking this kit!!! If you missed out and would like to purchase this kit, be sure to head over to Gina K. Designs and click on "notify me" to be the first to know when it is restocked. I will also be using the brand new Master Layouts 1 Dies, which is also sold out, but should be back in stock in the next couple of weeks! Again, be sure to sign up to be notified when they are restocked. I can see these dies selling out fast again. These dies cut panels 3 3/4" x 5" and 3 7/8" x 5 1/8", which when layered together give a perfect, even border every time!! There are also matting ovals and rectangles in this set. I will be using Gina's inks and cardstocks for today's card. Let's get started!!

I will be doing all of my work today on my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat.

To start, I cut a panel out of Heavy Base White Cardstock using the smaller rectangle die from the Master Layouts 1 Die Set, running them through my Big Shot Die Cut Machine. I then lay an image from the Hands Of Love Stamp Set at the bottom center of my panel. I then make pencil marks at the bottom of the image on each side. I do this to determine where I want to do my ink blending. I also mark the center of the image.

Next, I take Purple Tape and adhere from the top left to the center point of my pencil mark. I then add another piece of Purple Tape and adhere from the top right to the center point of my pencil mark.

Taking my Sunshine Stencil, I lay it over my panel centering it over my taped off area. Using my Blender Brushes, I blend Dusty Rose Ink heavier at the bottom then fading out towards the center of of the stencil.

Next, I blend Sweet Mango Ink below the circle of the stencil, fading into the previous color. I then blend around the top of the stencil, fading out towards the top of the panel.

For my final color, I blend Wild Dandelion Ink to the top of the panel, fading into the previous color. I then go back through each color, and blend into each other with the ink that is left on my brushes to soften the blend where each color meets.

I now remove the stencil. Leaving the Purple Tape still adhered, I blend each color over it's coordinating stencil blend to give a tone on tone blend. As I'm blending, I blend each color into the next creating a seamless blend. I then carefully remove the Purple Tape, peeling it back onto itself.

I now place the panel into my MISTI Stamp Positioner and line up my image from the Hands Of Love Stamp Set and stamp it using Amalgam Obsidian Ink. I stamp it a couple of times to get a nice dark image.

Using the smallest circle from the Single Stitched Circles Die Set, I cut out of Heavy Base White Cardstock. I also take a slightly larger die from my Infinity Circles Die Set and cut out of Sweet Mango Cardstock, running them through my Big Shot.

I now place the stitched circle die cut into my MISTI and stamp two images from the Hands Of Love Stamp Set using Amalgam Obsidian Ink. I then adhere the two circle die cuts together using Liquid Glue.

Next, I cut out of Black Onyx Cardstock using the bigger layering rectangle die from the Master Layouts 1 Die Set, running them through my Big Shot. I then adhere my blended panel to the black panel using Terrific Tape. Next, For some dimension, I add Foam Tape to the back and mount onto a Sweet Mango Cardstock card base.

I also add Foam Tape to the back of my circle die cut and mount onto the center of the card front and this completes my card.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. In hindsight, I would have made my blending area at the bottom a little wider to fill in the white area between the arms. I love the way Gina's inks blend so easily together and fade into a soft blend when they dry. If you are looking to expand your ink collection, I highly recommend these inks. The stamp set I used for today's card is a beautiful, inspiring set full of lots of love. I chose this greeting for my card as I have so much to be thankful for. In good times and in bad, God is SO good!!!

3D Peony Bundle Embossing Folder W/Oxide Inks

Hello, welcome to my blog!!  I want to start out by thanking everyone for the support and nice comments you all leave for me. I truly appreciate the support of this blog!! I enjoy card making and bringing my creations to you, this wouldn't be possible without your support, so again, thank you!! I'm back!!! For those of you that don't know, I took a couple of weeks off to spend some time with my brand new grand babies!! We were blessed with two more grandsons (who are cousins, their dads are brothers!) that were born only two days apart! We now have three grandsons and one granddaughter and feel so blessed!! Today I am using Distress Oxide inks to watercolor a 3D embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp. I was blown away by the detail of this embossing folder and knew right away that I wanted to watercolor something soft. Having all of these raised areas to color made watercoloring so simple and really took little effort. With all of the dimension of the 3D effect it is easy
