***I wanted to let you know that there has been an issue with some of my photos not showing up on my posts. I am aware of this and I am looking into why this is happening. I hope to get this issue resolved very soon!

In today's card project I will be using the Pinkfresh Studio Frame Builder Botanical Oval die set to create a sympathy card. I will also be using two different colors of Distress Oxide ink for my ink blending. It's not always easy coming up with ideas for sympathy cards, but I found these dies worked perfect to frame a thoughtful sentiment for my card. Let's get started!!

I start by cutting a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel out of Neenah White Cardstock using my Tim Holtz Guillotine Paper Trimmer. Using my Blender Brushes, I start my ink blending using Antique Linen Oxide Ink and blend around the center of the panel, fading out to white in the center. Next, I use Bundled Sage Oxide Ink and blend around the previous color and out to the edges of the panel. I then go back with each color and blend together. Next, I take my blended panel and place into my MISTI stamp positioner and stamp a sentiment from Heartfelt Greetings using Versafine Clair Nocturn Ink, I stamp the sentiment in the center, over the highlighted area.

I now take my Frame Builder Botanical Oval Dies, along with white cardstock and run through my Big Shot die cut machine, I cut four times. Next, I stack and glue using Liquid Glue.

Next, I lay out my dies onto my stamped panel then glue them down using Liquid Glue. I set an acrylic block on top to hold the die in place while the glue sets, I repeat this process for the other side. I now cut around the dies, leaving me with an oval shape.

For the next step, I take a 3 3/4" x 5" panel of white cardstock and blend Bundled Sage Oxide Ink around the edges and corners, I then add Antique Linen Oxide Ink, blending around and into the previous color. I go back with each color and blend into each other. Next, I use a Scroll Embossing Folder and run my panel through my Big Shot and mount onto a 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" Black Cardstock panel.

I didn't like the way the white die cuts looked against the blended sentiment panel. I decided to take my Bundle Sage Oxide Ink pad and drag it across a panel of white cardstock. After covering the entire panel, I use my Ranger Craft Heat Tool to dry the ink. I then die cut two more Frame Builder Botanical Oval pieces. I now glue them on top of the white ones on my sentiment panel.

I adhere the sentiment panel using Foam Tape, add some Water Droplets and my card is done.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. I am really having fun with these Frame Builder dies and now think, I want a couple of the other ones I don't have!

Shadow Stamping With Stencils

Hello, welcome to my blog!! ***I wanted to let everyone know that Scrapbook.com has kicked off Freebie February!! Every couple of days they will be offering free items along with great sales! Check often as the sales will be frequently changing. I have placed a store logo on the front page of my blog just down below my profile that brings you directly to their store!    *I know die cut machines can be a bigger investment, but if you are in need of one and looking for a good price, Scrapbook.com has some really good prices on Big Shots -  stand alone  machines and bundles.   Today's card project is similar to yesterday's blog post using the shadow stamping technique, but today, I will be using a stencil. I will be using kraft cardstock as well as black cardstock. This is a fun technique to use on any color of cardstock. I wanted to show the look on a light colored cardstock vs a dark color. The key to using any color of cardstock is to first lay down white pigment ink follo

Embossing With Stencils

Hello, welcome to my blog! Today's card project focuses on heat embossing with stencils. Stencils are great for ink blending and are economical. Did you know you can also heat emboss with your stencils? I am showing an example of white heat embossing, but you could also ink blend your stencil then heat emboss with clear embossing powder, if you don't mind getting your embossing pad dirty. Some people have a clean embossing pad dedicated for embossing only, and another embossing pad that they use for different techniques that may get the pad dirty. Let's get started!! To start, I cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white Neenah cardstock panel using my Tim Holtz Guillotine paper trimmer. I add Gina K. Designs Adhesive Dot Runner  to the corners on the back side of my white card panel to temporarily hold it down onto my Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat . Next, I prep my panel with my Anti Static powder bag. I then place my Gina K. Designs Water Droplets stencil
