Your Biggest Fan!

Hello, welcome to my blog!!

I had so much positive feedback from yesterday's card, that I thought I would make another soft colored card today! For today's card, I will be using the You Make A Difference stamp set that is a collaboration set from Pinkfresh Studio for Hero Arts. ***Right now at Scrapbook.com this set is priced at $15.99, down from the normal price of $24.99!! I will have this set linked down below in the instructions if you are interested*** This is a beautiful set that has so many encouraging sentiments to uplift someone's day. It also includes a huge image that fits an entire A2 card front that I will be coloring with Distress Oxide Inks. This is a quick and easy card to put together... Let's get started!!!

I will be doing all of my work on my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat.

I start by cutting a 4" x 5 1/4" panel out of Neenah White Cardstock using my Tim Holtz Guillotine Paper Trimmer. Next, I lay the panel into my MISTI Stamp Positioner and prep with my Anti Static Powder Bag. Taking the image stamp from You Make A Difference Stamp Set, I stamp my panel with Versamark Ink. I then add Detail White Embossing Powder and heat set with my Heat Tool.

Using my Blender Brush, I blend Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink around the embossed image and edges to add shading and make the images show up.

Using the white side of my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat, I press the edge of my Oxide Inks onto the glass. This will be my paint pallet for coloring the images of my embossed panel. I use a small paintbrush and clean water to pick up the Oxide Ink and begin coloring my image. The colors I use are all Oxide Inks. I chose Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber, Faded Jeans, Iced Spruce, Wilted Violet and Bundled Sage.

Next, I place my painted panel into my MISTI Stamp Positioner and stamp a sentiment from the You Make A Difference Stamp Set using Versafine Clair Nocturn Ink. I then adhere my panel onto a Mermaid Cardstock card base using Double Sided Adhesive, add some Soft Ivory Pearl Gems with Liquid Glue and this completes my card.

I hope you enjoyed today's simple card. This card came together quickly using minimal supplies. When using white embossing powder on white cardstock, adding simple ink blending really makes the image stand out. The stamp set I used is a great encouraging set that is perfect letting someone know you are behind them, cheering them on or just to let someone know how proud you are of them.

The key to using any color of cardstock is to first lay down white p...

3D Peony Bundle Embossing Folder W/Oxide Inks

Hello, welcome to my blog!!  I want to start out by thanking everyone for the support and nice comments you all leave for me. I truly appreciate the support of this blog!! I enjoy card making and bringing my creations to you, this wouldn't be possible without your support, so again, thank you!! I'm back!!! For those of you that don't know, I took a couple of weeks off to spend some time with my brand new grand babies!! We were blessed with two more grandsons (who are cousins, their dads are brothers!) that were born only two days apart! We now have three grandsons and one granddaughter and feel so blessed!! Today I am using Distress Oxide inks to watercolor a 3D embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp. I was blown away by the detail of this embossing folder and knew right away that I wanted to watercolor something soft. Having all of these raised areas to color made watercoloring so simple and really took little effort. With all of the dimension of the 3D effect it is easy...
