Enjoy Your Day!

Hello, welcome to my blog!!

***For everyone interested in the clear Water Droplets that I use on my card... THEY ARE BACK IN STOCK!!! There are also Heart Shaped Water Droplets***

I wanted to end the week with a simple card that doesn't require much... just stamps, inks and embossing powder. Today's card uses a simple ink blending technique, along with heat embossing. Silver embossing against the blue tones, can really add elegance to a simple card.
For my ink blending I will be using regular Distress Inks. Let's get started!!

I will be doing all of my work on my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat.

To start, I take my Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut a panel out of Neenah White Cardstock running them through my Big Shot Die Cut Machine. Using my Blender Brushes, I start my blending using Weathered Wood Distress Ink and blend in the middle of the panel, fading out towards the very center. Next, I take Stormy Sky Distress Ink and blend around further out and fade back into the previous color. For my final color, I blend Faded Jeans Distress Ink around the edges and corners, fading back into the previous color. I then go back through each color to soften up the blending.

I then place the panel into my MISTI Stamp Positioner and stamp a sentiment from the Heartfelt Stamp Set using Versafine Claire Nocturn Ink. Next, I prep my panel using an Anti Static Powder Bag. I now stamp some images from the Persian Motifs Stamp Set, using Versamark Embossing Ink. I then add Detail Silver Embossing Powder and heat set with my Heat Tool. I continue this process until my panel is framed with images.

I adhere the panel onto a white card base using Double Sided Tape, add some Water Droplets using Liquid Glue, and this completes my card.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. It really is a simple card to put together. I really like the look of these three colors together. I have never used these three together before, and now want to try out more color combinations! I don't own all of the colors so I try to match up colors that I do have. This stamp set I used looks beautiful water colored, can be stamped tone on tone for a subtle look, or embossed like I did for today's card. Lined stamps are not only for coloring, they work great for creating backgrounds also!

Embossing With Stencils

Hello, welcome to my blog! Today's card project focuses on heat embossing with stencils. Stencils are great for ink blending and are economical. Did you know you can also heat emboss with your stencils? I am showing an example of white heat embossing, but you could also ink blend your stencil then heat emboss with clear embossing powder, if you don't mind getting your embossing pad dirty. Some people have a clean embossing pad dedicated for embossing only, and another embossing pad that they use for different techniques that may get the pad dirty. Let's get started!! To start, I cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white Neenah cardstock panel using my Tim Holtz Guillotine paper trimmer. I add Gina K. Designs Adhesive Dot Runner  to the corners on the back side of my white card panel to temporarily hold it down onto my Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat . Next, I prep my panel with my Anti Static powder bag. I then place my Gina K. Designs Water Droplets stencil
