Hello, welcome to my blog! As we say goodbye to 2019 and hello to 2020, I thought I'd share a couple of fun New Years cards with you. For both cards I use glitter cardstock to bring a bright, sparkly, festive look. Let's get started! For my first card, I take a 4 3/16" x 5 7/16" piece of gold Simon Says Stamp Assorted Glitter Cardstock and My Favorite Things Peek-A-Boo Polka Dots Die-namics  and run them through my Big Shot die cut machine. I then take strips of assorted colors from the same glitter cardstock and die cut them with the same die so that I have an assortment of colored dots. Next, I use Gina K. Hello, welcome to my blog. As the year winds down, I hope you are enjoying time with family and friends and finding some time for yourself during this busy time of year. Today's project is an anniversary card for my husband that I thought I would share with you. I struggle with masculine cards and coming up with ideas. Today, I will create a wood floor background with a simple die cut greeting. Let's get started! To start, I cut a 4 /1/4" x 5 1/2" panel out of Taylored Expressions Earl Grey cardstock and run it through my Big Shot , using the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder from Stampin' Up!   ***check your sandwich order with your die cutting machine for 3D folders. Next, I take my Weathered Wood Distress Ink pad and starting at the top right side (I'm right handed) of the embossed panel, I lightly drag it down the length of the planks. Hello, welcome back to my blog! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed time spent with family and friends. We had a nice time visiting with family and seeing the grand kids. The weather has been nice in Minnesota, but more snow is coming our way! Today's project is using Oxide Distress inks to do some ink smooshing to make a background. Oxide inks are different than regular Distress inks, in that they are opaque and layer on top of one another creating some fun and interesting backgrounds, with a different look each time. Let's get started! To start out, I use Bristol Smooth cardstock and cut a panel that is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I found this cardstock to work very well with this technique. Using my Tim Holtz Tonic Glass Media Mat , I smoosh Fossilized Amber , Spiced Marmalade , Broken China and Wilted Violet Oxide inks onto the white silicone mat that comes with the glass mat. Hello, and welcome back! Today's project is a last minute money holder, and by last minute, I mean LAST minute! LOL!! Being so close to Christmas, this is the perfect project for money giving gifts. These holders are very quick to make and can be decorated as simple or as elaborate as you choose to make them. Let's get started! To start, I took an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock. I cut this down to 7 3/4" long x 6 3/4" wide, using my 12" Fiskars Paper Trimmer . I then use my Scor Buddy  and score at 2 3/8" and 5 1/8" along the width of my cardstock. I turn my cardstock the tall way now and score at 6 1/2" and 1/4". Now, I cut in at small angles to the score lines, to create tabs so that the card will fold neatly. For the top flap, I cut at a slight angle up to the score line. Next, I fold and crease with my Teflon Bone Folder  all of the score lines.
