Tonight is the big night, Gina K. Designs brand new release!! Tune in to Gina K Designs YouTube channel or Facebook page for the live release at 7:00pm CST. All of the new products will be available on Gina's website also beginning at 7:00pm CST located in the "What's New" category, or by clicking HERE. I am very excited for this new release to see everything that Gina has in store for us! I am especially excited to see the TWO new Master Layout die sets! I love all of the previous ML sets and can't wait to add these to my collection! Today, I will be using the Happy Flowers stamp set - created by Arjita Signh from the new release to create a watercolored image using Gina's dye inks. These inks are not only great for stamping but also work great for watercoloring! All of the inks, stamps, dies and cardstock (except the watercolor cardstock) are from Gina K. Let's get started!!

I will be doing all of my work today on my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat.

To start I take the rectangle from the Master Layouts 5 Die Set and cut out of Watercolor Cardstock, running them through my Big Shot Die Cut Machine. I then place the panel into my MISIT Stamp Positioner and prep it with my Anti Static Powder Bag. I stamp an image from the Happy Flowers Stamp Set using Versamark Ink. I add Gold Embossing Powder and heat set with my Heat Tool.

Using the white area of my Glass Mat I press the ink colors onto it that will be used for my watercoloring, I will be using this as my palette. Taking a Water Brush filled with clean water I wet the first petal I will be working on. I then pick up some Dusty Rose Ink with my Water Brush and add it to the base of the petal, blending and fading the ink out towards the end of the petal. I repeat this process with the remaining petals.

Next, I dampen my first petal a bit then pick up Plum Punch Ink with my Water Brush and again add it to the base of the petal. I then blend and fade the ink out a bit making sure I don't completely cover the previous color. I repeat this process for the remaining petals. To intensify and deepen the color I go back with a third layer of Plum Punch Ink concentrating the color more towards the base of each petal and where petals fold over.

For the smaller flowers I use the same process, I wet each petal then add Wild Dandelion Ink to the base of the petals with my Water Brush then blend and fade the ink out towards the end of each petal. To deepen the color I add a layer of Sweet Mango Ink using the same process.

Moving onto the leaves, I wet my first leaf then add Jelly Bean Green Ink to the base using my Water Brush then blend and fade out toward the end. I repeat this process for the other leaves. Next, I add a layer of Grass Green Ink to all of the leaves with the same process.

For the small leaves I add Applemint Ink with my Water Brush and blend it out. For the center of the large flower I add Sweet Corn Ink and blend it. Using the tip of my Water Brush I add two layers of Honey Mustard Ink making little dots. I also added a layer of Fresh Asparagus Ink to the larger leaves for more color variation.

To add a little texture to my panel I add some water to the Plum Punch Ink and pick it up with my Water Brush then spatter it over the panel. After the spatters were dry I did add some Grass Green Ink to the smaller leaves but forgot to take a photo.

I now cut a 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece out of Vellum using my Guillotine Paper Trimmer. I then place the Vellum into my MISTI and choose a greeting from the Happy Flowers Stamp Set. I prep the Vellum with my Anti Static Powder Bag and stamp the greeting with Amalgam Obsidian Ink, add Black Embossing Powder and heat set with my Heat Tool. I then place a sentiment from the same Happy Flowers Stamp Set just above the greeting and stamp it with Versamark Ink, add Black Embossing Powder and heat set with my Heat Tool.

I place a piece of Terrific Tape on the backside at each end of the Vellum, line it up over the card front then wrap each end around the panel and adhere the to the back. Taking the scallop die from the Master Layouts 4 Die Set I cut out of Plum Punch Cardstock, running them through my Big Shot. I then add Terrific Tape to the back of the water color panel and adhere it onto the scallop panel.

For my card base I place a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Watercolor Cardstock into my Scor Buddy and score it at 4 1/4" creating a side folding card base. I add Foam Tape to the back of my panel and mount it onto the card base. To finish off the card I use my Jewel Picker to add some Dew Drops with Liquid Glue and this completes my card.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. The Happy Flowers stamp set is great for any coloring medium and has many wonderful sentiments that go with the "happy" greeting. There is also a solo flower included in the set that is the same size and design as the large flower that I colored. This stamp can be used on it's own and add leaves to it or it can be popped up over the bouquet for a 3D effect! This set would also look beautiful stamped or embossed over any background technique... no coloring required! Don't forget to check out the new release tonight! If you can't catch the live you can always watch the replay!

Check often as the sales will be frequently changing. I have placed a store logo on the front page of my blog just down below my profile that brings you directly to their store!    *I know die cut machines can be a bigger investment, but if you are in need of one and looking for a good price, Scrapbook.com has some really good prices on Big Shots -  stand alone  machines and bundles.   Today's card project is similar to yesterday's blog post using the shadow stamping technique, but today, I will be using a stencil. 3D Peony Bundle Embossing Folder W/Oxide Inks

Hello, welcome to my blog!!  I want to start out by thanking everyone for the support and nice comments you all leave for me. I truly appreciate the support of this blog!! I enjoy card making and bringing my creations to you, this wouldn't be possible without your support, so again, thank you!! I'm back!!! For those of you that don't know, I took a couple of weeks off to spend some time with my brand new grand babies!! We were blessed with two more grandsons (who are cousins, their dads are brothers!) that were born only two days apart! We now have three grandsons and one granddaughter and feel so blessed!! Today I am using Distress Oxide inks to watercolor a 3D embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp. I was blown away by the detail of this embossing folder and knew right away that I wanted to watercolor something soft. Having all of these raised areas to color made watercoloring so simple and really took little effort. With all of the dimension of the 3D effect it is easy...
